Evaluation of Serum CXCL10 Level as a Prognostic Marker in Colorectal Cancer Patients: A Retrospective Cohort Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: One of the current challenges in cancer management is finding diagnostic and prognostic markers for various cancers. CXCL10 a small protein that defined as an ‘inflammatory’ chemokine binds to CXCR3 mediate immune responses through activation recruitment leukocytes such T cells, eosinophils, monocytes natural killer cells. It facilitates system antitumor activity, causes tumor regression induction angiostasis cellular apoptosis. Most previous studies have reported anti-tumor activity CXCR10, while on its role colorectal are limited. Objectives: The present study aimed evaluate correlation serum level with prognosis patients cancer. Methods: This retrospective cohort was performed 69 histopathological diagnosis oncology ward Razavi Hospital, Mashhad, Iran, between July 2018 September 2019. relationship concentration investigated. Results: results Cox analysis indicated significant patients’ mortality metastasis rate high (P = 0.018 P 0.045, respectively); however, not significantly correlated recurrence 0.81) during four-year follow-up. Conclusions: associated incidence

Serum Alkaline Phosphatase Level as a Prognostic Tool in Colorectal Cancer: A Study of 105 patients.
BACKGROUND: Serum alkaline phosphotase (ALP) levels are frequently elevated in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the significance of ALP in terms of detecting hepatic metastasis or prognosis is not well established. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Medical records of patients with CRC seen at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) (1998-2002) were reviewed and statistical ana...
متن کاملIs Bax/Bcl-2 Ratio Considered as a Prognostic Marker with Age and Tumor Location in Colorectal Cancer?
Background: Bax and Bcl-2 are the major members of Bcl-2 family whose play a key role in tumor progression or inhibition of intrinsic apoptotic pathway triggered by mitochondrial dysfunction. Therefore, the balance between pro- and anti-apoptotic members of this family can determine the cellular fate. Methods: In this study, the relative level of mRNA expression of Bax and Bcl-2 genes was deter...

Background and Objective: The clinical outcomes and treatment options for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients are highly dependent upon molecular markers. In this study, Wilms tumor (WT1) (exons 7 and 9) mutations, SNP rs16754, and WT1 expression levels in 130 random AML patients were screened; FMs-like tyrosine kinase-3 internal tandem duplication (FLT3-ITD), nucleophosmin (NPM1), and CCAAT/...
متن کاملEvaluating the Expression of Oct4 as a Prognostic Tumor Marker in Bladder Cancer
Objective(s)The key transcriptional regulator Oct4 is one of the self-renewal and differentiation-related factors in cancer stem cells, where it maintains "stemness" state. Cancer stem cells have been identified in a variety of solid malignancies. They are a small population of tumor cells with stem cell characteristics, which are a likely cause of relapse in cancer patients. Due to high incide...
متن کاملComparative study of chemo-sensitivity expressed as micronuclei in lymphocytes of breast cancer patients, their unaffected first degree relatives and normal controls as a possible prognostic marker
Background: Genomic instability is one of primary causes for malignant cell transformation. In this study induced genomic instability expressed as micronuclei in breast cancer (BC) patients with different stages of the disease compared with their unaffected first degree relatives (FDR) and normal unrelated controls was investigated. Materials and Methods: The background and net micronucleus fre...
